McMinn Tomorrow

Athens Area Chamber Of Commerce

A spin-off of the Chambers Leadership McMinn Program, the “McMinn Tomorrow” program was developed for fostering the future generation of community leaders. Ten dynamic students from each of our county high schools complete an 8-week course covering, History, Education, Governmental, Services, and Industry to reach the greatest achievement possible. The program creates a school-business partnership, which fulfills a variety of needs in educating our future leaders. Our community’s ability to grow and improve the quality of life is definitely linked to our quality of education and this program definitely provides that linkage

McMinn Tomorrow

McMinn Tomorrow is an annual youth leadership program sponsored by the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce. It was incorporated into the program of work of the Chamber in 1992 to offer future leaders the opportunity to become more knowledgeable of the County in which they live, emphasizing the opportunities that exist and building a countywide network of students. McMinn Tomorrow involves 20 junior and senior students from McMinn County High School and McMinn Central High School. The students meet six days during February, March and April to learn from community leaders and to tour local sites pertaining to a variety of topics including education, health, government, industry, history, and criminal justice. The students pay no tuition or enrollment fees.
